This fine silver antique finish coin pays tribute to Mikhail Kutuzov , who was one of the finest military marshals and diplomats of Russia.
The Russian army under Kutuzov command stopped the Napoleon’s Grande Armee at the Battle of Borodino and then counter attacked, pushing the French out of the Russian homeland. His memorial was built in Moscow on Kutuzovsky prospect in 1973 to commemorate the war and Kutuzov's leadership.
