Amazingly, this is the third coin to be released in a series commemorating the world-famous Fabergé eggs. The Rosebud Fabergé egg, which inspired this coin, is a cultural icon. In 1895, Czar Nicholas II of Russia presented it to Empress Alexandra Feodorovna; it had been crafted by Michael Perchin under the watchful eye of master jeweler Peter Carl Fabergé. The stunning egg was designed to bring back fond memories of the yellow roses the Empress had left behind when she returned home. The egg is part of a collection of nine that was purchased from Malcolm Forbes for $100 million and is now on display at the Fabergé Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The denomination, weight, and purity of the coin can all be found along with the Mongolian coat of arms on the obverse. This is a First Day of Issue 2022 Mongolia 2 oz Silver Faberge Rosebud Egg certified by PCGS as flawless PR70DCAM. There were only 888 of these coins minted, so they quickly sold out.
