Disillusion In 2023, Palau will issue a 3-ounce silver coin commemorating the Eternal Sculptures II. The "Eternal Sculptures II" collection honors the world's most renowned sculptures with this artistic 3 oz silver coin.
This state of mind is called disillusionment, or "The Release from Deception." The coin has a black proof finish and features Smart-minting ultra high relief on both sides.
High Relief artwork based on "Disillusion" by 18th-century Genoese artist Francesco Queirolo can be found on the coin's reverse. The fisherman in the masterpiece is freed from a net by an angel. Sin is represented by the net.
The angel frees the man from his sins and introduces him to the Bible that lies at his feet as he does so. MMXXIII, the year of issue in Roman numerals,
ETERNAL SCULPTURES II, the name of the series, and "DISILLUSION," the name of the coin, are all inscribed around the image within an ornamental frame with a typical Renaissance pattern.
The coin's obverse features a detail from the statue—the fisherman's hand—and is also struck in Smart-minting High Relief. The Palauan coat of arms appears on the left side of the obverse, and the denomination, "20 DOLLARS," appears below.
Main Characteristics: Effect of metallic marble; ultra high relief on both sides; faithful reproduction of a net.
Included with your coin and Certificate of Authenticity is a beautiful wooden presentation case made just for you. Only 499 pieces will ever be produced.
