This set has the first ever Morgan and Peace dollars struck in reverse proof finish. It was only made in 250,000 pieces. Only a tenth of the mintage was sent to certain dealers before the official release date of this set. The "Advanced Release" label means that this set was one of only 250,000 that were sent out by the mint. It was the very first set of its kind. On the front of the Morgan, there is an American eagle with its wings spread out and an olive branch and a bunch of arrows in its beak. The eagle is mostly surrounded by a ring of laurel. On the back of the Morgan, Liberty is shown in profile, wearing a Phrygian cap and a crown made of cotton flowers and wheat ears, which are symbols of American farming. On the front of the Peace coin, there is an American eagle sitting on a rock and holding an olive branch above the word "PEACE." The Peace reverse shows Liberty wearing a bright coronet. The design was made by Anthony de Francisci, and his initials "AF" are shown at the bottom. The set comes in PCGS authentic slab.
