2023 Sparta 3 oz silver coin CI

This magnificent double sided Ultra High Relief design on the Sparta 3 ounce proof silver coin features a modern interpretation of a Spartan warrior. On the reverse of the coin is a depiction of a Spartan warrior, complete with helm, shield, and spear. To the left of the warrior, two of his fellow Spartans who are also armed and ready for fight can be seen in the background, and to the right of the warrior is a young woman who is also a Spartan. On the back, there is an image of Spartan hoplites ready for war. The helmet and shield of the soldier in the foreground have gilded embellishment on them. They are accompanied by a reimagined image of Helen of Troy, which features classic motifs of Greek architectural elements and decorative motifs in the background. The word "Sparta" is inscribed directly above this on the wall. The mythological act that marked Sparta's victory in the Trojan War is depicted on the obverse side of the coin as "The Return of Helen in a Quadriga." This side of the coin is called the "obverse." In addition to having marvelous designs and extremely high relief detail, this coin has also been meticulously gilded with 24 karat gold in specific areas.
