2024 Cook Islands Wild West 3 oz ultra high relief proof silver coin gilded NGC PF70. The fourth coin in the "Legends" set is this one from the Wild West. During this interesting time in history, three people stand out. Gunfighter and gambler Wild Bill Hickok was known as one of the first "Heroes of the West." There are persistent rumors that he had a close relationship with Calamity Jane, a famed but mysterious frontierswoman. The story goes that Wild Bill died at a card table in Deadwood's Saloon 10. He was killed with the hand that became known in history as the "Dead Man's Hand." Billy the Kid, who is shown in the middle, was famous for being a gunslinger and a cow rustler. In his short but eventful life, he killed at least nine people and narrowly escaped jail. The front of the coin shows what might be a robbery scene, with one cowboy riding quickly in a carriage while the other seems to shoot anyone who is chasing them. The Wild West desert has cacti, scenery, the sunset, and a flying eagle as background scenes. On the back, there are three separate cowboys, and one of them is carrying two revolvers. The dice have different numbers of dots, and the coat of arms is tilted and bent to the outside on the front, where it is part of the sheriff's star. The NGC has given this 2024 Cook Island Wild West gilded 3 oz ultra high relief proof silver coin a grade of PF70. It is a first release. There were only 888 of these coins made, and they are all sold out at the mint.
